Old, shabby, dingy hotel. AS OF MY STAY ON 11/10/2025 THERE WAS NO OPERATING ELEVATOR, nor, according to staff when I checked out in the morning, had it been operational for several weeks. This was not disclosed to me on check in, nor did the desk clerk tell me at any time. After I had paid for the room I had to discover when I read the sign posted on the elevator. No assistance was offered, no offer of a ground floor room was made, and when I expressed some frustration, the desk clerk responded that “she was not really interested in my opinion”. At NO time was any “sorry for the inconvenience” type of comment made to me.
Although in good physical condition, I was a 72 year old woman traveling alone. Dragging two bags up the stairs @10PM after a difficult day of air travel chaos during the peak of the US Govt shutdown placed me at considerable physical risk of injury from a fall. AVOID THIS HOTEL, at least until they replace/fix the elevator unless you want a ground floor room.
Also, the “pantry” in the lobby where these quick stay type hotels sell microwaveable food and snacks, had an empty cooler and shelves. Bring your out Hot Pickets and chips!

The elevator was broken and when you're traveling on business with 2 weeks worth of luggage, the stairs aren't fun. Shortly after checking in, the woman at the front office stated that the front door was also not working and taped them off. This was around 7pm. This caused me to not only go down the stairs with my luggage instead of an elevator, but also have to walk around the full complex to get to my car. The door was not broke. It was purposely locked. I even went down to the lobby and saw the door was in fact locked. While maybe the front office clerk, being in a place like Detroit didn't like after hours, and the front office entrance being available after hours might be risky, its not good customer service. Ill never stay again.

The pillows are way too small! I read this in the reviews and completely agree that this needs to be changed. They are the same size or smaller of throw pillows that you place on your couch….weird and not comfortable!
