The staff were excellent -- friendly, professional, helpful.

The "free wifi" was so slow as to be completely unserviceable -- too slow even for the most routine online tasks. The room was shabby -- beat up furniture, chipped paint and scuffs on the walls. The water pressure in the shower was so low as to make showering impossible. The smell of marijuana smoke permeated the fourth floor hallway and the hotel entry.

We arrived well after 16:00 and our rooms were not ready. We were sent to another motel in the chain, which involved a drive in an unfamiliar city in the dark. I got onto the wrong road twice. (The second motel was feeling “tired”, which didn’t help with my assessment.) My feedback is based on this incident.

There was someone at the reception when I checked in late, and checked out early.
The room had a kitchen, but I didn't use it.
