About This Property

This downtown Minneapolis hotel is 4 minutes from the Minneapolis Convention Center and features an on-site restaurant and indoor pool. Modern rooms are furnished with a 42-inch flat-screen cable TV. Coffee machines and a hair dryer are also included in each of the rooms. Originally built in 1941 as a bank, The Westin Minneapolis retains the building’s history with B.A.N.K. Restaurant and Lounge. Positives: Room was clean, staff was friendly. Building is beautiful! Restaurant staff was amazing and accommodating when we showed up after the kitchen was closed.

Negatives: Our room smelled like someone had spayed cologne in it. We are a scent free family so this was jarring and took some time to get used to. I asked the front desk to have a courier pick something up for me and was told the hotel doesn’t offer such a service. Seems to me that if a customer is willing to pay for a service then you find a way to provide that service.

Negatives: Terrible service in restaurant. They brought the wrong order to our table not once but twice and to 2 other tables as well were brought the wrong orders. One person then got her food 15 min b4 the other 3 of us. The severs were so confused because the waiter kept disappearing and they had no direction. There should be some serious revamping of their process for organizing tables etc We had no less than 5 different people bring us water coffee food toast etc and no one seemed to have a rhyme or reason. To what they were doing.
