Red Roof Inn Columbus MS

Negatives: I really cannot believe I paid $175 to stay in a Red Roof Inn in Columbus, MS, but I accept this is what motels do when MSU has home games (supply/demand situation). I was displeased with the room. My biggest complaint is that the room smelled like a group of people had been smoking in the room all day before we got there. It was very bad. I asked for a non-smoking room and it was anything but. It wreaked of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was particularly bad as was the blanket on my bed. The smoke detector in the room was removed and missing. The bed was uncomfortable and I awakened feeling sore. The vent from the AC unit on the wall and the vent from the fan in the bathroom were dirty. I left the room with wet hair because the on-room hair dryer didn’t work. My daughter and I didn’t feel very safe either. Overall, this was not a good experience and would have preferred to sleep in my car.

Negatives: There was a lot of people smoking weed. Parking lot in terrible shape. Room had molding coming off the wall.

Negatives: Tried using the remote to work the TV but it wouldn't work, tried multiple times. The toilet was disgusting as if someone had vomited on it and didn't clean it. It was clear that no one cleaned the room, only changed the bedding and the towels. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door the morning of checkout even though I told them to come back later, which disturbed my sleep before a 7 hour drive.
