I didn't complained after exchange to second room since it was not cleaned, but since you asked... I had 2 rooms, both had smell, not very clean, interior door are more clean on outside, repairs and painting of the room is done probably by same housekeeping.
Public hotel laundry are out of service and management didn't had desire to help or let me use their hotel laundry.

We checked out of this motel 20 minutes after checking in. Our room had NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTOR, which is a code violation. Also the phone line was dead. Police cars were in the parking lot because sketchy people were loitering in the parking lot and did not even appear to be staying at the motel. I felt like we were being watched and overall felt unsafe. Owner assured me she would approve a refund for our stay if booking.com contacted them. Booking.com has been horrible to work with. They do not have the correct phone number or email address of the motel owner (apparently the motel is under new management) and so all their attempts to obtain approval for refund have gone unanswered. When I let booking.com know they have the wrong contact information for the motel owner and offered them the correct information, they said they could not contact the owner at the alternative phone or email address because it goes "outside their protocol." So I am being charged over $300 even though I NEVER spent the night at Redroof Inn due to SAFETY concerns. Booking.com DOES NOT CARE!!! Horrible customer service.

First impression, very run down. Drug deal in the parking lot. I didn't feel safe at all! Booking.com never sent the funds to the motel so they wouldn't give me a room. No one at the front desk knew what to do or how to manage the reservation. Would never recommend this place!

EVERYTHING. room was FILTHY. hadn’t been swept or mopped, air filter was old and gross (actually caused me an asthmatic trip to the ER!), fridge didn’t work, microwave didn’t exist, smoke detector was hanging by a single wire off the wall, tv was broken, walls & doors had visible filth all over, staff DID NOT CARE & told us it was OUR responsibility to have notified them after we noticed the FIRST issue & because we didn’t, they would not refund us AT ALL or give another night to stay for free (trust, we did not WANT to, but needed a room due to the health issues i had & that ultimately set us back).
first - excuse me, but it is the STAFFS responsibility to ensure that rooms are clean & prepared for the next guest(s). it is the GMs responsibility to ensure the staff is doing their job properly & to take corrective action on any issues with HER STAFF when applicable. None of that EVER falls on the guest. the GM clearly only cares about keeping her job secured & hiding the crap show she has going on around her - nothing else. i dare say that room was grounds for termination. Absolutely HORRIBLE.
&… believe it or not… i am actually VERY low maintenance. but this.. dear hell, this was unacceptable in every sense of the way.

The staff was great, the tub was some what clean, and it was located close to a few fast food restaurants.
Negatives:
The room itself was not clean. There were stains on the wall by the bed and in the bathroom. The covers on the bed also had stains. The floor dirty, curtains dirty, and the toilet disgusting.
