I booked AmeriHost because they had a pool -- I swim 2 miles a day so this was important to me. Upon arrival I could see the pool was empty -- this should have been posted to their website.

Positives:
The nicest thing to say is it seemed quieter than the hotel in another town the night before, but the air was loud & the fridge was vibrating the microwave sitting on top so it's hard to say.. The ice machine had pebble ice, but room it was in was filthy.
Negatives:
Our non smoking room reaked of smoke & had burn marks in the bedspread & curtains. The towels & some pillowcases were stained. Pillowcases & sheets thread bare, bed hard & curtains so thin that the parking lot lights made 3:30 am look like daylight. Hallways also reaked of smoke. The breakfast bar consisted of orange or apple juice - zero food & this was well within serving time. Upon arrival we checked on the pool & hot tub which were out of service.

The shower was warm and clean.
Negatives:
Bed was comfortable however no mattress pad, carpets were gross, cigarette burns every where. Non smoking rooms smelled like a fresh pack of burnt Marlboro Reds
