Positives:
The breakfast was adequate and our waitress was very service oriented. The hot eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage were good. The property's location within walking distance of a variety of restaurants was helpful. We also appreciated that there was on site parking available which isn't always the case in a downtown location. The hotel seemed well manintained and clean. The room was a good size and had a comfortable oversized chair.
Negatives:
To begin, the gentelman at the front desk provided adequate service but was difficult to hear and not particularly friendly. Also, this place was VERY noisy. We could hear people talking, toilets flushing and general banging throughout the night and this was supposed to be a "Quiet floor" as indicated by a sign as you got off the elevator. There was also a lot of "city" noise from outside...sirens, etc. I'm not sure if it would have been quieter on the river side of the building or not and I don't know why we weren't put in a room on that side of the building. While our breakfast waitress was attentive the person attending the buffet did not seem on top of things...for example there was no regular milk put out next to the cereal...only chocolate milk. Not many people use chocolate milk on their cereal. (Breakfast was included in our room rate. If I'd had to pay $15 for it I would not have been satisfied.)
