the buidling aside is in renovation, lots of noise

The beds were comfortable, and they gave you clean towels.
Negatives:
First off, the lounge area, if you can call it that, was very, very small. Had a couple of seats, not comfortable to wait in. The noise was horrendous. I could hardly sleep. You could hear all the traffic all night. Would not stay there again.

Mold on the ceiling in the room, not quite clean, noise in the room coming from the street (windows are not noise proof), very poor breakfast on paper plates, with no many options and no vegetables at all, location - one of the dirtiest part of Manhattan

Very nice and helpful staff, they were organized and focused on the guest. The room was very clean and had everything I needed, as well as a decent view. I also liked that continental breakfast was included, and that there was plenty of locks on the door to make me feel more comfortable as a single woman traveling.
Negatives:
There was nothing I actually disliked, but the size of the room was smaller than I expected based on the photos. I understand that sometimes it’s beyond anyone’s control, but the ability to check in a little earlier than 3pm would have really made this a perfect trip.

My stay was exactly what...
Positives:
Friendly and welcoming front desk staff. Fairly spacious room with a view of the city. Large and comfortable bed. Wi-Fi worked for the most part. The room felt clean and tidy overall. Peaceful and quiet place, considering its location - there was some construction going on nearby, but outside of working hours we did not encounter any issues with noise.
Negatives:
There was no fan in the bathroom and the shower had no door, which was highly impractical - made it almost impossible to not get water all over the bathroom. The breakfast could definitely use some more variety. We had issues with both elevators as they did not function properly, so we resorted to using the stairway to get to our room.

Positives:
The hotel was in a great location, clean, and the staff was very nice! The hotel was well its worth for its location! The subway was literally a three minute walk away from the hotel which was super convenient for traveling around and it really was in the heart of Chinatown so you were also close to Little Italy too. I got to the hotel an hour early before check-in, but the staff at the front was nice enough to hold my luggage until check-in, they gave me a little card so I can find my bag once I came back after roaming around. My hotel room was cleaned up and the consumables (towels, soaps, and etc.) were replaced every day. It was really nice! I enjoyed my stay.
Negatives:
The only thing I would say that I didn't like is that the design is a little outdated (carpet and all) and there really is no microwave in your hotel room. I don't believe that is a listed amenity, but if you're trying to bring leftovers as you would with all the food places to eat in NYC to heat up, it better be something that can be eaten cold because your food isn't going to be heated any time soon.

Positives:
Location is not bad, metro station is not so far. 20-25 minutes by foot until Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
They cleaned the room every day and replace shampoo and towels.
There is ramen place just inside the hotel so nice for a dinner if you don't want to go anywhere.
Negatives:
There is a construction just near the hotel which is extremely loud. It started 7am so we could not sleep.
Also the receptionist made a mistake with our reservation and then called 3 times to our room to go down again while we were sleeping after overnight flight!
Breakfast was okay, no cheese or salami, just basic bagels, waffles and fruits.
Room inside is slightly old, you can see that it needs renovation.

The staff were very nice and helpful. It was also close to the train.
Negatives:
This was a very old building and it showed. I would put the AC on and it would be loud to the point it was unbearable. I also didn’t like the way the bathroom was set up because every time I would take a shower the water would leak out and make the floor soaking wet no matter how careful you were. From the pictures I’ve shown the room was not up to par. I would come back for hours on end and my room would not be cleaned. If it was cleaned then I did not get the basic necessities they stated they offered (i.e. the water bottles and toilet paper). I paid $600 for 3 nights and it was NOT worth it.
