The area/neighborhood is great.
Negatives:
It is an understatement if I say we didn't like the attention of the staff. They should have been more professional and correct.
It was a scandal (big mistake) what they have done with the payment. The room was payed in advance!!!, and on the second day of our stay, the whole amount was blocked from our account by the hotel!!!!!
We have to proof that the 10 nights have been payed already. The money has not arrived yet in our account. We were compensated with an upgraded room. It's a small compensation when thousands of dollars are missing from your account.

Positives:
The location and fairly good renovation.
Negatives:
NO microwave or small refrigerator! To us this was a big deal because we were enjoying all the wonderful food in the area YET we could not bring leftovers back to our room.
For my wife the pillows were way to thick.

A First Class Comfortable“Art” Hotel...
Positives:
The staff was so lovely, professional, and accommodating. Very impressive service in NYC!
Negatives:
That we paid $368 for a room that was pictured with a beautiful view but was handicap when we did not ask for or need a handicap room. That was very disappointing and came across as false advertising!

Wonderful hotel!
Positives:
This is a decent upper west side hotel if your business takes you to that corner of town. Some rooms can be quite nice if you pay enough, like the broadway view deluxe rooms, others face brick walls. Nice bar and business room though does get crowded.
Negatives:
It is a bit spare in its decor. You might call it Ikea inspired. The staff can be a bit brusque.
