We didn’t sleep at all the last night because of a violent couple fighting in their room all night.
I know it’s not the hotel’s fault but they are providing a service and need to honour it no matter what. At first they offered a $50 credit on a $600/ night room.
I had to negotiate with the manager and settled on 50% discount. Frankly, they should of given us a full credit.

we've stayed here before - it's close to msg which was great because we went to a Knicks game. checkin was easy. you can park yourself in the icon parking lot underneath and enter from either 29th or 39th street. the bathroom was modern and had a very large open stall marble shower with a rain head. we had 2 queens because we were traveling with my teen so the room felt a little small . our line (606) had no view. the breakfast restaurant is great - I had steel cut oats & hubs had eggs/toast/ veg/bacon. there was a steak restaurant that had a lineup out the door before it opened - I think called skirt. broadway had a bunch of restaurants nearby - new looking. we walked to Madison park (shake shack in the middle good for teens) Eataly has a few places to eat in it too. Hudson yards is a few avenues over but worth the hoof too.

This is one of my favorite hotels in New York. Great restaurants.
Negatives:
When I called down to get a bucket of ice. Couldn't get a bucket of ice??? Told to go to 5th floor there's plastic bags. NO ICE BUCKET IN ROOM??? Am I suppose to keep ice in the bathroom sink??? Hmmmm. When I'm staying at what's supposed to be a 4 or 5 star hotel I'm not accustomed to having to get my own ice from the 5th floor. I tip well for service. I choose other hotels when I'm treated like I'm staying at a Motel 6. Not impressed with this change at all.
