Room wasn’t ready when I arrive a couple of hours early before check in only accommodation that was offered was to spend additional $100 per night to get a room that ready before 4:00 pm. My birthday wasn’t acknowledged after it was disclosed in my booking. Most times the manager of customer care sends a personal note for celebrations.

Although it is generally clean and well maintained, it could undergo renovation. Carpet stains and dirt on the walls is not something you want to look at on your vacation

Unique experience in the heart...
Positives:
Fantastic location. Wall Street, World Trade Centre, Battery Park is just a stone's throw away. Subway station is next to the hotel.
Negatives:
Hotel is due for a renovation. Walls are super thin so you can hear everything next door. House keeping is not consistent at best. Staff are tired and lack motivation.

Everything was good - the rooms, the staff, but be aware that even if the breakfast is included, there is no restaurant. You get dedicated amount of money for breakfast and you have two options how to spend it: 1. you can order in-room breakfast service or 2. spend the amount of money for breakfast in the lobby cafe.
Negatives:
Despite the fact that breakfast should be included in the price, approximately two days after checkout they charged money from my card without any invoice, notification, so we didn't know what they charged us for. After further investigation, we realized it was for breakfast, which should be included and fortunately the hotel issued a credit note and the money was returned to my account. But it could have been without these inconveniences...

Location was good for central downtown, however all the major attractions were a good half an hour away.
Negatives:
It was built in the late 1990’s and needs an update. It was probably really nice when it was built but now is a bit dated. The carpets are sort of beige and there lots of 1990’s wood in the rooms. The pictures make it look a lot better than it is.
