We stayed in NYC because my granddaughters wanted to see "Wicked" on Broadway. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs.
Negatives:
The cost of the hotel was triple the normal rate because it was Memorial Day Weekend and Fleet Week. I had reserved a "skyline" room, for which I paid a premium. I had guaranteed check in for after 7pm. When we arrived at 7:30 pm, all skyline rooms had been given away, despite our reservation. The discount offered was not commensurate with the room change.

Location is great. The grab n go food in lobby was excellent and convenient - good value too. We upgraded to skyline view and it was well worth it.
Negatives:
The $55 charge for 'early' check in was really a surprise and I think excessive. Especially as a Hilton Honors guest. I had called and asked about early check in and nobody mentioned the charge until after we stood in line at the desk to check in at 11:30 AM.

Location was great. Near Central Park, Times Square, Theaters. East access to Battery Park as well as Yankee Stadium. But it's New York, better bring your walking shoes.
Negatives:
I didn't pay close enough attention and found I was obligated to a time share presentation. I survived but missed most of the Mets game which was a make up of a rain out. Nothing major.
