Another nice stay at Smyth Tribeca. Rooms are comfortable and you cannot beat the location. Friendly staff who were able to accommodate our requests.
Negatives:
Would be handy to have slippers in the room. Staff never seems to acknowledge frequent guests/repeat visits. A simple "Welcome back" would be appreciated.

The location is incredible. Right outside Chambers St station. Easy access to all of Manhattan, Brooklyn & Jersey city. Walking distance from WTC as well as SoHo. Surrounded by good restaurants.
Room is a good size & so is the bathroom.
Negatives:
No tea/coffee facilities. No complimentary water in the room, but they do have water in the lobby.
Lobby is tiny.
The carpet in our room was discolored - big pink splashes on a dark grey carpet which made me reluctant to walk around barefoot.
Towels are very rough.

The lady with long black hair was extremely hospitable. I also like the gym downstairs.

I usually don't leave reviews here, but I felt the need to do so this time. My initial room in the corner on the third floor was EXTREMELY LOUD. It felt like I was sleeping in the middle of the streets. So, in a sense, I was sleeping like a homeless
person but with fancy decor and a large bed. The curtains did not even cover the entirety of the windows. So, after 15 hours of flight and 1 hr of taxi ride to get to the hotel, I had put the blanket on top of my face to keep the sunlight away from my eyes. When I asked the male employee at the check-in desk with curly hair whether I could get a different room, he replied, "That is your responsibility. You chose that room." Even though it may be my "responsibility" to check the room's interiors, how ON EARTH would I know its lack of noise-proofing and not-wide-enough curtains...? I think his uninterested tone in the clients' needs added to the general bad experience. I was eventually changed to a different room, which was very quiet, but I needed three extra blankets to keep myself warm.

Every staff member was professional, respectful, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. From the front desk, cleaning, to the lounge and tavern. Location was perfect. Easy to walk most places, subway stop outside the front door, and easy loading zone for taxi/uber.
Negatives:
The only wish….a hook/bar in the bathroom to hang towels after use.
