The room was clean and tidy. The availability of fridge, freezer and microwave was really convenient. The room was comfortable. The staff were always helpful and very friendly.
Negatives:
We did not find the "Manhattan view" claimed in the hotel description. The location was good, but unfortunately there were renovations works ongoing on the F train and we had to rely on a replacement bus going to Queens Plaza which was an extra 15 minutes and involved walking in a not very nice area. Breakfast was ok, but it could be improved by offering more fruits, sliced bread (rather than bagels, English muffins only).

Positives:
The property was modern and updated with comfortable common spaces. The room was well laid out with new fixtures and everything in working order. The desk was actually an ample size, the kitchenette perfect. The bathroom was perfect.
The hotel is a short walk to Queensbridge/21st Street subway station where you can catch the F line right to Lexington/63rd street station in Manhattan (a 10 minute ride at most). That’s a major selling point.
Negatives:
No complaints really. I wish the room had more storage for clothing (the closet is fine but drawers would have been nice). The neighborhood is not particularly picturesque (Long Island City isn’t Astoria) and there aren’t a lot of dining options. The property warns guests that it’s a working class area, which itself isn’t an issue for those of us who live in larger cities. But suburban tourists might be surprised.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the TOWNEPLACE SUITES BY MARRIOTT® in Long Island City, New York, and I wanted to share my feedback with you.
Firstly, I must commend the young lady on front desk duty during my check in. She was exceptional—courteous, efficient, and truly made a positive impression. Her service was the only highlight of my visit.
Negatives:
However, I regret to say that my overall experience at your Marriott branch did not meet my expectations. The hotel seemed to serve as a shelter for homeless women and families, which significantly impacted the ambiance and comfort. As a guest, I did not feel the usual warmth and quality associated with Marriott properties.
Furthermore, considering the cost of my stay, I feel it wasn’t worth the money. I could have stayed at a better-quality Marriott property for the same rate. As a loyal Marriott guest, this was disappointing.

The money holding fees per night still waiting for my money back no smoking is cool but they had a whole courtyard and you couldn't smoke out there safe in closed-end by the hotel you had to go in the front and you couldn't park your own car which once they park it you can't get it back till the morning and some staff were great and some sucked
