I liked that it offered a handful of amenities such as a pool, restaurant, breakfast, etc. I liked how close it is to town.
Negatives:
I think the only thing I didnt really enjoy was that the layout of the hotel is pretty perplexing. Lots of stairwells and long hallways. If you are hancapped or have difficulty walking, I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Booked the mansion king suite but was told upon arrival there was no available rooms and the pictures online do not display the correct room. Was given an inferior room at the same cost. Feel deceived by the images and descriptions listed online.

There werent a lot of extra frills. Fire pits were available but they would not turn on after 9:00.

Quite countryside comfort close to NYC.
Positives:
The setting was amazing. Even the deer at dusk was awesome.
Negatives:
Impossible to find Putnam. No signs. The front desk girl that checked me in was awful. Seems like I was a bother. However, the overnight staff, Connor and the morning desk gentlemen , Tim I believe were awesome.
The hot water was minimal. The sink was broken. The toilet didnt flush. The remote to tv only worked once in a while. The room was dated and had mold in shower. Definitely more like a motel 8 at five star prices.
