Positives:
The ambience outside the hotel was conducive for outside walks. The breakfast was great. The service was ok. They also had apples, bananas, oranges, and biscuits and coffee available after breakfast hours. Staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area was great.
Negatives:
I changed rooms because of a ceiling leakage, and there was bathroom drain that needed unplugging with a plunger. Some rooms are due for renovation. We had to cross the street to use a laundromat.

This was the worst hotel...

We had a practice fire drill and we were not notified that it would happen so we were stuck on the fifth floor no elevators and I am handicapped.The staff that was cleaning our room graciously carried all of our belongings down the steps. This should not have happened we should’ve been notified.

Not having a bathtub (only a shower) at home I was looking forward to soaking in a hot tub of water. Well ... The tub stopper was broken. Couldn't take a bath. I had to take a shower. While taking a shower the tub didn't drain properly. It took a good 10 mins for the tub to drain after my shower. The lady that checked us in was not friendly at all. She didn't even tell me when checkout time was. I asked another employee the next morning and he acted like I was bothering him by asking. The tv remote needs batteries.... It didn't work half the time. The volume on the tv was either non existent or you had to turn it up into the 70s to hear it. The carpet had balls of hair everywhere. No extra blankets or pillows in the room. I could go on and on.

The property is very outdated and could use some major updating. It's the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in about 50 different Hampton over the last 15 years... this one was the worst. The ceiling was filthy. The chairs were filthy and dingy. There were stains on the walls in the bathroom and the tub was old/dirty. The TV remote had no back on it. The desk had chips and cracks. The carpet is very old and I could smell a hint of cigarette smoke.
