Negatives: Could have used more fruit

Negatives: Clerk at check-in could have been more pleasant...was kind of indifferent to our arrival. We asked for a late check out at 1PM and she set it up. On the next day when we were scheduled to leave she came to our room @ 11 and asked when we were leaving??? Didn't make sense. We left the hotel shortly b4 1PM, yet our billing receipt indicates we departed at 3:02PM...we had an appt at Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood and we were at the location at 1:15!

Negatives: The rooms could use some updating, the couch and footstool in the room had deep dips from being old and used. The showers could be updated to look cleaner.

Negatives: Taped carpet tears; peeling paint, no promised hot tub, pool was freezing and cloudy, leaking roof in pool area, restroom out of order. Breakfast was included, but not good. Powered eggs, “pastry” was all packaged not fresh. Items barely hot so when you sat to eat, everything was cold. Omelet was good but wait was long as only one person prepared them. Wait was 15-20 minutes, sky roof in eating area was filthy and dark.. Stained carpet in guest room. Hair dryer in room was not only gross, but didn’t work??? Toilet overflowed with barely and toilet tissue used. (On a good note the young lady in housekeeping was warm and wonderful. She made quick work of the clean up. I don’t know her name , but through out conversation I learned she was from Kazakhstan) Ran out of shampoo in shower, which should be checked at room readiness !Elevator was at times not functional. They were many guests with many young children that were not being controlled and noise levels were very loud from hallways to our room. Was upset to learn that there would be an ‘incidental hold charge” as it was not mentioned through the booking site or when I called to verify our reservation. This put me in a bind as we had planned very tightly on expenses!! I realize that this hotel is older, but considering that this tends to be a more upscale area of the city, I was totally surprised at how dingy it has become. Quite frankly, it doesn’t come close to living up to the Hilton name or even the very basic of standards. We live locally but I could have spent just a bit more and found d a hotel which presented itself in a much better light. This was a getaway for my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen and it was a real let down for her and her friends!!!

Negatives: The distance to and from the room for the elderly to get to the elevator

Negatives: The room smelled funky. The room needed a bunch of painting. I paid extra for early check-in and check-out. They offer that free at the hotel. The majority of staff don’t speak English, which made it hard to ask for things we needed.

Negatives: Had to switch rooms the first room mattress was dirty and sheet and the tv in living room didn’t work. Second room they switched up to tv in bedroom didn’t work the let out couch bed sheets was not changed dirty cup in between the couch microwave didn’t work
