The guest rooms have NO light switch and no lamps easily accessible as you walk into the room. When they remodeled they decided to remove the overhead light from the entry area of the rooms. When you enter in the dark you have to somehow find a lamp - in a room you have never been in before - to switch it on. This seems really dangerous. Also, the lighting in the breakfast area is so dim, that you can't read a newspaper.

Location was great, close to family's home. Employee's were very helpful and willing to assist us with room issues. Loved the shampoo, conditioner bottles in the shower.
Negatives:
Heating, air was not constant, either too hot or cold upon trying to find a suitable temperature. There was no paper, pen, phone or TV remote was available. Extra large towels would have been lovely.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good location in Westlake, 10-min walk to Crocker Park (shopping & dining).
Negatives:
This Hampton Inn wasn't like other I stayed at. the lobby and hallways are outdated and the elevators old (one of two broke down while I was there), though, using the stairs was OK for me.
