Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Guthrie OK

Negatives: We were unable to watch tv because we couldn’t change stations. We have Directv at home so are very familiar with the remote. Thought maybe the batteries were dead, but we were able to turn the tv on so that wasn’t the case.

Negatives: Not clean, it was raining during our stay and the roof was leaking, it did not drip into our room but, we could hear the dripping all night!

Negatives: This hotel was so dirty that we did not even stay. When we approached the check-in desk, we were warned to watch our step because there was a big wet spot on the carpet in front of the desk. That would not have been so bad--maintenance issues do happen--but it was only the first of many drawbacks. We were told not to use the elevator because a repair had not been completed and it was not safe in the meantime. We took the stairs to our room. There was trash in the stairwells. When we got to our room, the carpeting was dingy and stained and, again, there was trash on the floor underneath the desk. The bedspread was frayed at the hem. To be fair, the bathroom looked okay, but we had seen enough negatives that we chose to stay elsewhere. This hotel definitely did not meet our expectations. We may or may not try Hampton Inns and Suites in the future.

Negatives: (Note: hallway and rooms were on 2nd floor) The hallways were filthy. There was trash all over as if the halls never got vacuumed. Gave us a really bad impression and curious on how the rooms would look if this is what we saw as soon as we stepped out the elevator. Our FIRST room has huge stains on the carpet snd part of the shelf was broken but they just left the piece there. We requested a new room as there was literal toenail clippings still on the floor. As a traveler with young kids this was horrifying. Our SECOND room had even larger stains in the carpet, a whole in the ceiling for the “fire extinguisher water” the remote did not have a back to it and it wouldn’t even work for the TV at all. As a breastfeeding mom I was hoping to keep my breast milk in the fridge- fridge didn’t have a freezer spot and it was colder in my little cooler with ice packs than the actual fridge. Also, barn doors that are not flush for the wall for a BATHROOM door… not very smart. No privacy at all, might as well have had no door at all. You could see into the bathroom from the outside as there was a 2 inch gap on each side of the door. For a hotel that had more reviews than a competitor and supposedly “better” (8.7) rating… this property is filthy. I hate to see what the competition looks like. Even when checking out there was no one present at the counter the entire time we ate and grabbed our bags from our room. Only thing I did think was decent was the breakfast.

Negatives: The elevator was broken, I had to get my elderly aunt up and down the stairs, all the luggage as well. I called for more towels twice and no one answered. Out towels were stained , and the bathroom was dusty and the corners were filthy, and the TV remote was missing the back, the fridge didn't work , and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. It was not ready and not up to any realistic standards.
