Positives:
I recently stayed at the Red Lion Inn in Ontario, OR, and while the stay was budget-friendly, there were several areas that could use improvement. The most pressing issue was the housekeeping service, which failed to clean my room despite multiple requests. Additionally, the door to my room did not close properly, which meant that it remained open for extended periods, impacting my sense of security and privacy.
The building itself is quite noisy, and the breakfast options were limited and repetitive, which might be typical but was nonetheless disappointing. The fitness center was also underwhelming, as the equipment was poorly maintained and noisy.
On the positive side, the owner of the inn was exceptional—very friendly and genuinely caring. The staff, too, were pleasant and welcoming, which helped make the stay more enjoyable.
In summary, while the Red Lion Inn offers an affordable option with wonderful management and staff, attention to crucial details like room maintenance and service quality would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

There was an obvious stain on the bedspread. The concierge inadvertently gave away my room number to another guest assuming we were traveling together.

Breakfast was very limited. The guy at the front desk was amazing and so kind. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night. My car stayed safe.
Negatives:
The room was filthy. There was a q tip stuck on the wall, makeup drips on the wall, very dusty, sink had not been cleaned, coffee still in the maker, stains on bedding, and the floors were absolutely awful. I got a rather large pile of dirt when I swept. The hot tub had a really gross layer of bubbles topped with dirt film, not clean. Only had two towels in the room for 2 queen beds, I did ask for and get more. The guy did come and clean the sink and get the q tip off the wall. The toilet was also dirty on the back behind the seat.
