We didn't feel comfortable walking outside of the property once the sun went down. It is a shame but the city has definitely changed over the past year.

Negatives:
For the price, the hotel could put a small “complementary” bottle of water in the room. The water in room was tagged as $8. Also the coffee machine beverage options lacked simple things like black tea.

Location is very near to conference venue at Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Negatives:
The staff who assisted with the check-in told me my credit card was declined. Said he will put a remark that I would be paying by cash upon check out.
Upon checking out, I was attended to by a staff named “Key”. She told me 1) my credit card went through 2) no remark about cash payment. When I told her I would like to pay by cash nonetheless, she muttered something to her colleague, and looked visibly annoyed. I would not expect this kind of unprofessional behaviour from a hotel of this standard.
I would also like a written explanation, why a full payment was expected from me, when Loews Hotel’s website stated that a deposit of USD100 only was required?
