Negatives: nasty and bugs
Negatives: I prepaid for my room about two weeks before my trip, 24 hours before I was supposed to check in the property messaged me asking me to email them a picture of my credit card (front and back) and my drivers license. I told them I was not comfortable emailing that and they had already charged me for my room anyway so I wasn’t sure why they needed it. I let them know that I could give them that information if they really needed it when I checked in. they again messaged me saying they needed the pictures immediately. I ignored the message because I already relayed that I would not being doing that. while I was sleeping that night at 2:44 am the morning of the day I’d be checking in they called me, texted me, emailed me, and messaged me on booking.com asking for the pictures right away. not only was it bizzare for them to be contacting me in the middle of the night but they called and texted me from a California area code and the hotel is in South Carolina. we ended up running into some travel issues and arrived later than planned. I called ahead and they assured me we would be okay to check in. when we got there around midnight there is no lobby or office to go in and check in it’s just a little window with a pass through and a buzzer to ring so someone would come out. I rang the bell and the woman who checked me in just had me sign a paper and told me check out was 11 the next day. we had booked the room for 3 nights. so I asked her to confirm that we had the room until Monday to which she just said oh yeah okay sure. while my husband was unloading the car I ran into the room to go to the bathroom. as soon as I opened the door the smell of cigarette smoke and mold hit me. I was a little concerned because it was a non smoking room and it smelled so strong I didn’t want to be charged a fee for a smell that was there when we got there.
DO NOT STAY HERE.
Need to update the furniture...
Positives: Proximity to food and conference location
Negatives: Deplorable conditions of the furniture and lack of advertised amenities
Positives: The bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice.
Negatives: Furniture was torn. Water pressure was minimal. The room had a bad smell.
Positives: Everything was clean and comfortable.
Negatives: There's a disconnect with the card and the door. When we used the key card, most times, it didn't open. We would stand there watching the light turn green, but the door not opening.
