Positives: The room and property is very clean and a great experience.
Negatives: The property now charges for parking which is close to $20 and if youre not a Bonvoy member, they charge for WiFi (from $15-20) per day. Those additional charges can add up and give a slight illusion of the bargain price initially provided.

Negatives: The main lobby area is very nice but due to the architecture of the hotel , the rooms overlooking the lobby are not comfortable. We could not sleep until 2 am when the party of people partying and talking and laughing loud left the area. I

Positives: The location was amazing and the facilities were beautiful.
Negatives: Staff was reluctant to help with billing issues, and the breakfast included required the customer to ask for a voucher. Front dest points finger at restaurant and vice-versa. The customer is stuck in the middle.

Negatives: I stayed at a super8 the night before this visit and I just cant figure out why an upscale hotel doesnt even offer complimentary coffee and Im not using any coffee pot or coffee in the room. Pay to park your car was a plus

Positives: This hotel chain has always been good but now it has been acquired by Marriot Bonvoy it has dropped like a stone. a few examples when i arrived i gave a credit card over for incidentals for which the hotel manager (that was what she said she was) then proceeded to charge my card over 3300.00 (excuse me but this is not incidentals) my credit card company immediately red flagged it and i couldn't call them back until the following morning. i went down to explain what had happened and she explained that she had only blocked out the amount for the room to which i explained that wasn't what she said she was doing. i said to her no worries the following morning i would sort as i would have the conversation with card early hours of the morning and ok the payment. She then said that she had a another one of my credit cards on file to which i replied "DO NOT USE THAT CARD AS I ONLY EVER USE THE OTHER ONE AS I DON'T GET CHARGED EXCHANGE FEES" The next thing i know i get a text from the second card red flagging a 3300.00 from Renaissance Hotel in Austin, as you can imagine i was not happy. i went down and asked to see the Manager again to be greeted by a blond sour faced woman who apart from being extremely rude then proceeded to tell me she was the CEO of Marriot Bonvoy (i don't think so) i told her what had happened and she told me that she would speak with her and get back to me the following morning. i am still waiting and by the way there was no apology or any other form of correspondence. i on the other hand still have 1 credit card that is still blocked. And just for the record i will be reporting this to the board of Marriot Bonvoy later this week. i am Absolutely disgusted with the Hotel, The management staff and Booking .com who i use a lot.

Positives: I love having breakfast options, especially going to a conference are having meetings early. The food was excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Negatives: It was a little chilly as an ambient temperature in the whole hotel but nothing that deeply concerned me. The hard part for us was we wanted to explore Austin a bit more and it was a little removed from downtown.
