Breakfast really good but confused on how much the allowance was , as we booked breakfast through booking .com and was told by different people in the restaurant different allowances One said it was per room and 1 said per person Would be good if this was pointed out at the beginning . Love the free wine, beer between certain hours in the afternoon. Nice pool to relax at, good service around the pool. Area restaurants

Confusion around allowance for breakfast. Ask for high level floor as Deep Ellum quite lively of a night , good lively just noisy. Restaurant food in the evening not up to a high standard for the cost .

Would stay here again which...
Positives:
Kimpton Pittman is located in Deep Ellum on the outskirts of downtown Dallas. The location is close to great cafes, restaurants, bars - and if you are into them, night clubs. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel pool is fantastic, and restaurant delicious. Overall ambience of the hotel is terrific.
Negatives:
Deep Ellum does have a seedier side but you can easily avoid this. The hotel is located close to a couple of night clubs, and the "doof doof" does penetrate the rooms, but not to a level that is uncomfortable or prevents sleep.

Desk staff where very average. Young staff talk too quickly, old guys not interested. Middle age women were good. No tea or coffee making in room??? very difficult to get a working coffee maker, then no power outlet on bench, had to put it in bathroom!! silly for such an expensive hotel.

Hotel is located across from night clubs. Even on the 6th floor music and base were very loud until past 2AM. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 2AM requiring us to evacuate to the street. Parking is $50/night, seems steep. No coffee makers in the room, you have to get dressed and go to the hotel restaurant to get a free cup of coffee.
