everything - furniture and overall ambiance was kinda tired. may be ok for the price they charge but overall I felt uncomfortable in these outdated dark room with a smell of old room. smell made it worse I think

Got to talk to some of the staff on some of the convention stuff that was happening during the stay sense they asked about the odd people they seen in costumes and accessorys they really enjoyed the conversation on it and it lasted for hours. Best conversation i had in years.

Does not have a cafe, but it used to. So I asked for real wine glasses at front desk, and they delivered them to my room.
Negatives:
Carpet is far too old and a bit ragged throughout hotel. Also, room window does not open - they did originally - in 1930's.

Called and they didn't even have anyone to bring towels to my room. Hotel couldn't refund the second night because I was so grossed out of the hotel. Requested and never heard back. Terrible service. Will never be back
