Housekeeping was never done in my 4 day stay. I questioned the shift supervisor why my room was never cleaned during my stay when I was checking out, she told me that since Covid, they don’t clean daily for safety reasons!!! Really!!! When I checked in I asked to at least to have my room cleaned every other day! And the clerk said no problem, but when I told the shift supervisor this, she said that he shouldn’t have said that! And she would have a talk with him! If Covid was the excuse, she should have had a mask on, which I questioned!! She said it wasn’t required, but cleaning my room on a daily basis wasn’t required per her!!! She shouldn’t be in a position of responsibility to such a popular hotel chain!!! I’m actually staying at another Hilton hotel right next to the Hilton garden inn, and I inquired about the housekeeping and if it was done everyday, she looked at me and said of course it is. I asked about the Covid rules that was in place at the other hotel, she said there was no such thing, they were probably short staffed!!! Which I would have accepted, but Covid!!!! I’ll never stay at the garden inn again. I like a clean room everyday when I stay away from home. I’m paying for it!!! No discount for no housekeeping not being done!
