The location was excellent. We had a dance competition at the Lila Cockrell Theater (part of the convention center), and we were able to walk there and back each day.

During my 4 day stay, my card got charged twice during the night without my approval. I got notified by my bank about the charges, but the hotel say they don't see the charges. They haven't contacted me after leaving them my information. The extra charges total over $300.
Still waiting for hotel manager to contact me.

Positives:
The staff was helpful and responsive. It was also very close to the convention center. Although I had read mixed reviews, the room was fairly nice for the hotel level and quiet. The breakfast was more expansive than just a few pastries with hot food.
Negatives:
Some bathrooms needed updating and there is a kind of annex section at the back of the hotel. I was first assigned a room there and it seemed more in need of attention/updates than the main part of the hotel. Again, location was key.
