the hotel is located within 5-10 minutes of the closest metro rails and bus stop that can take you into Washington D.C. or Maryland, direct access by rails to the two closest airports.
Negatives:
The toilet in the room did not automatically shut off when the tank refilled with water. Had to call down twice for toilet paper and hand soap that was remove when the room was cleaned and not replaced.

This property should not be listed on Booking.com. There is nothing worthy to mention about the property except the location.
Negatives:
Booking.com should seriously consider removing this listing. The rooms lack proper standards, with cleanliness issues and unpleasant toilet conditions, forcing my wife to seek alternative facilities at Starbucks. The overall maintenance is subpar, with peeling paint, broken bathroom fittings, insufficient toilet supplies, and a noticeable pest problem. Broken electric sockets also pose potential fire safety risks, and I question whether the property complies with Virginia Fire Safety Codes.
Despite advertising an indoor pool, it's currently out of service until May 2024, a crucial detail that should be highlighted to potential guests. The complimentary breakfast is confusing, and the half board only covers USD 15.00, often leading to additional expenses, even for coffee. The restaurant's limited menu and the rude, unhelpful behaviour of most staff, except for one helpful lady over the weekend, further contribute to a disappointing experience. The insulting and unhelpful attitude of the reception staff adds to the overall negative impression, making this property a detriment to the Holiday Inn brand.

Stayed only one night as available hotels were limited.
Lobby was nice and had a resturant. Staff accomidated my needs for the one night with providing room with 2 beds.
I was very greatful for that. Driving into the hotel parking lot can be a little confusing the first time. Hotel is close to resturants and other facilities. Short walk to Metro.
Negatives:
Room was a little worn and bathroom was extremely small.

There is an overnight parking fee, $14 per night that took me by surprise. But not a deal breaker. The facility itself is a little dated.
