The room smelled of cigarette smoke, blood on the wall, hair in the shower, left over food in the fridge and residents (who live at the hotel) asking for money.

Positives:
AC malfunctioning althrough room recently renovated and clean. Major problem is somehow someone had our digital key and attempted to gain entry while we were in bed, and only the manually engaged lock-bar prevented this from happening. Front desk seemed unconcerned and offered a flimsy excuse for staff not seeing the room number clearly displayed on the outside of door.

More concerned service personnel and a working AC unit.

Loved the location. Convenient to Interstate 81. Close to restaurants and gas.
Negatives:
The floors were dirty and the ceiling light in the bathroom would not come on it would only flicker. Floors and baseboards were dirty in the bathroom also.

I chose to use a trick I learned in working with computers & internet - shut off at the thermostat for several minutes, then started it up again. Started blowing cooler air finally, but it ran continuously through the night. Not a full restful sleep...

Staff was great, clean room and for the most part quiet. I will say that the morning coffee in the lobby was fantastic! We travel a lot and thats not always the case. Overall nice pleasant stay and the staff was great! I highly recommend staying here
