Drain in the tub was blocked so the tub filled with water while showering and the heater didn't work in the room. We turned it on, it filled the room with smoke and a horrendous smell (like an electrical fire) and within 10 seconds of being turned on the fire alarm went off. So we had no heat on a cold night and as the hotel was full no other options to sleep. Also even though the reservation was booked months in advance and paid in full, and I sent an email to the hotel advising them we were arriving a day late, they cancelled my reservation. They were able to figure something out but it meant one room the first night, having to repack everything and have a different room the second two nights. At no point was I contacted to confirm if I was coming or not (even though I heard the clerk calling multiple other folks while I stood at the desk to confirm if they were still coming as it was late). I would not use this hotel again.

We were traveling from out of state for a 5pm Friday wedding and were hoping to check in earlier than the 4pm time . I called the hotel in the morning as we were leaving and requested the earlier check in in order to prepare for the wedding , if possible. Although the front desk staff person could not guarantee the room would be ready he understood my request and made a note of it . Fortunately, we were able to check in at 3 pm so we didnt have to stress about being late to the wedding. Appreciated their sensitivity to the situation .

Room and hotel were dated , but our stay was extremely short so didnt impact us greatly.

Location was fine, right off the interstate. The room was made up after we left the first day, towels replaced. Did have a good sized refrigerator with a freezer. The bathroom is tight, need to place a towel in the tub so don't slip and fall when take a shower. There is a bar at the back side of the tub, far away from the faucets.
Negatives:
There is no microwave in the room. There is a small water heater for making a cup of tea or coffee. There is no microwave available in the lobby. There is no coffee or tea in the lobby. Breakfast was very spartan - cereal, mini muffins, juice, coffee, tea and a fresh fruit. No protein seen. The outer doors have card locks that no longer work, so anyone can walk in to the hotel.
