Red Lion Hotel Ellensburg

Negatives: The ice machine didn't work, and there was no sign on it to indicate as such. When I went to the front desk, they had ice in a cooler, so obviously, they knew that the machine was broken. I stayed 4 days and my room was never straightened, no towels replaced, no bed made. The "breakfast" was very meager! Offers of Fruit Loops, yogurt, toast, coffee, apples. That's it! The carpeting was old and worn, the walls needed painting, grime everywhere. And, they locked all the outside doors except the front entry at midnight and didn't unlock them until 6. No way for anyone to get out in a fire, except using the front entry and there would have been a stampede if that had happened. I'm wondering if this is a fire violation? Most motel/hotels have a key swipe on the exterior doors so that a guest can leave and return. Not this one, and the corridors were very long. No elevator. I imagine that someone with a disability might not be able to get out? Staff seemed to be "in training" - all of them. I asked for a receipt upon departure. The front desk clerk couldn't seem to be able to print one for me and said he would e-mail me one. It hasn't arrived! I expect I shall never see it, except on my credit card statement

Negatives: under construction and the breakfast was nothing

Negatives: There is no elevator for second floor access. Expected to have in-room coffee and tea. Breakfast preparation area was cramped and without a logical flow pattern.

Negatives: dirty room

Negatives: The picture shown on the website is misleading. They have no updates as shown shown on the picture at there location. But signs stating there remodeling. That should be on the advertisement so the quest will know what to expect.

Negatives: Gym wasn't available.

Negatives: Would have appreciated a non-dairy milk or creamer. (They ran out of powdered packets for coffee). We tried too work on our project in the lobby and it was a bit dim for a gathering with the detailed things we wanted to look at, but we did not ask about borrowing a conference room either, made it work.

Negatives: what I didn’t like was that everything looked like it was falling apart! the side of the wall rug came off, my husband barely touched it and it all came off it was staples on. all the walls look like they were coming apart lol! I should of took pictures.

Negatives: Hotel is very old and really needs big time renovations. Air conditioner was loud and noisy. Indoor pool area wasn’t desirable and no jacuzzi. Breakfast was not desirable. Not very happy, overall. Sorry.
