Location of the hotel and view were great.
Negatives:
Our room was by the stairs and the entrance door. So lots of noise from people coming and going. The room was nice but not as nice as it should have been for the cost of the room. Very limited goodies in the room, like coffee, no hot chocolate, no extras which this price should have provided. We travel a lot, love when their are the special social hour or 2 in the evenings. Plus no breakfast provided in the morning. We stayed at another Red Lion in Sequim and it had all kinds of extras. Lots of snacks, excellent breakfast provided, etc. And the cost was amazing, hands down Sequim did great, Port Angeles did not.

Positives:
The check in staff was very helpful, they easily upgraded our room from view of garbage garbage disposal to view of water. I had a hard time finding the side door to hallway entrance, but the office clerk was very helpful explaining it to me.
Negatives:
The view of all the huge garbage trailers was very disappointing. This is a great location, but the parking area between the annex & view rooms was very disappointing. Checking out a nice cleaning woman kindly helped us to our car, which I greatly appreciated as we are both ADA.

We were on the back side of the hotel and the room was not what expected from a Red Lion. Also the service in the restaurant was very slow. We sat for over an hour before anyone even brought us a menu.
