Positives:
We have stayed for years at this hotel. This stay was terrible. The hallways reeked of a strange smell like spilled rotten milk. Numerous people at elevators commented on it. The rooms were dirty and there was mold along the top of shower. We were either grandkids on an overnight stay between flights. We opened the balcony to look at lights and planes landing and there were numerous cigarette butts in a pile on the balcony. I was very disappointed. One shuttle bus had busted out windows on one side that were covered up- I did not see that unit taking anyone to airport. The unit we rode in had the bumper partly ripped loose.
Negatives:
There were numerous people - flight staff- talking about a homeless person walking the hall ways - they reported stalking people.
We will not ever stay again nor would I recommend the property

Positives:
Bed was comfortable and accessible bathroom was spacious. However, they use a coffee table for counter space in the bathroom - its too big for the space, especially with a wheelchair and it's a tacky addition. Better furniture options can be found at Target, IKEA or Home Goods. I was surprised.
Negatives:
The check-in process was hell. Only 2 agents at the FD (built for 5), with lines at times that had 25 people wanting to check in. After waiting for 45 minutes in that line, they seemed to have the hardest time finding one of my two reservations - even after showing them my receipt for full payment for 2 rooms and my booking information. They acted like this issue was my fault and did not represent the brand well with their tone or body language.

Positives:
I liked that it was close to the airport and an OK drive to downtown Seattle. For being close to the airport it was surprisingly quiet. We were given a parking discount because we expressed dismay at the cost for 4 nights. The cost was $35 per night and they lowered it to $20 per night. We paid extra for a "mountain view" and it really did exist with the airport breaking up the view, but we did enjoy seeing the sunset over the mountain.
Negatives:
The elevators were not all working in the "tower" that we stayed in. That caused a slow down on Saturday morning when lots of people were trying to load cars and buses for check out. The drop ceiling in the ice room was partially out on our floor. Another problem, which was true of all the hotels I stayed in on this 3-week trip, is why bathtub / shower combos? The majority of people want a shower they can move their feet in safely. Hotels need to update their bathrooms. Leave some bathtub rooms for kids.

Unfortunate my stay at Double Tree Hotel was very bad, I have been a long-time customer of Hilton hotels, but this one will take long time to forget. We had reserved a room based on the website information and pictures, after arrival at hotel, they offered to upgrade to another room with view for $20 more which seemed reasonable. When we got to the room, we found a room that was nothing like the pictures on the website and looked at a 5 story parking garage. I went and talked with the reception, and they offered another room which was even worse. After half an hour of this, we were too tired of running up and down the hotel and just stayed the room. The explanation given was that the pictures were not for this hotel!! We got up in the morning and cancelled the rest of our stay at Double Tree and checked out ,never coming back to this place.
