I typically really enjoy my stays at Hotel Sorrento, this trip wasn’t that case. My room was adjacent to the elevator and above the outdoor heat pumps. Very noisy room.

I was appreciative that we were seated right away in Stella’s for dinner even though they were having an event. However my dinner was meh. I ordered scallops. I would like to go back and try something else to give another chance..

Very pleased. Everything was fine.
Positives:
Reception and housekeeping staff excellent. Room spacious, bed comfortable.
Negatives:
Reception, bar and dining room gloomy - antique mahogany splendour not enlivened by effective lighting or décor. Food uninspiring, yet artificially 'talked up' by staff. Set in a very noisy part of the city, exacerbated by frequent overflying on airport approach. Few nearby facilities, other than medical ones! Checked out early and relocated.
