I was not aware the hotel was undergoing renovation. It was like walking into a construction site. There was dust, dirt and debris everywhere. The construction workers were right outside my door - loud. The toilet was not solidly attached to the wall, etc

I thought the room was very nicely equipped. For some reason, we were given the room for disabled people. I really liked the shower. And the bed was comfortable for sleeping. It was great having a little fridge and microwave. The television is huge and had a very nice resolution. Better than my tv at home...ha.
Negatives:
It's not anybody's fault but the hotel lobby area and breakfast area are currently under construction. Although there was a breakfast provided, I didn't realize there was seating in another room. We had decided to go out for breakfast because of the lack of seating....I guess there could have had better signage about the 2nd room. None of the construction affected our stay however and we weren't disturbed by noise.

I have stayed at this hotel before and will continue to stay there when I visit the Wausau area.
Positives:
Good location. Good bed. Big room. Good heat and cooling. Nice and roomy. Friendly receptionist. But narrow bathroom and narrow bathroom door, small space.
Negatives:
Nails, a lot of nails and screws at entrance. My husband picked up 15 screws/nails so we would not get them in our tires, but more off to the sides. With crutches/wheelchair, we were the farthest from the breakfast area which was 2 separate rooms due to remodeling. Should have a couple big handicap rooms CLOSE to the front desk and breakfast area. You have an older population of people and disabled people. A King bed is what we need because my husband is 6' 6" with a heart condition and asked for a King room near the front desk. Apparently there are not King rooms near the front desk and we were in the farthest room from the front desk. The bathroom area in the room was very small for both of us with our disabilities. That long walk, almost "did us in".

It was under construction which I did not know. I asked to see the room and how much noise there might be. The lady who checked me in showed me the room which had been updated and construction did not start until later firing the weekend. Had a great stay and would book it again.
