The pet friendly Cottage on the Pond is tucked away from the summer crowds at the end of a picturesque lane, with ocean views from the front porch and views of the mill pond from the backyard hammock. We are conveniently located to all Rockport amenities – a two-minute stroll to Front Beach; a one-minute walk to the park, and five minutes to famous Bearskin Neck alive with boutique shoppes, seafood restaurants and attractions for all ages. Our unique location offers up to eight parking spaces for all three cottages, working fireplaces, an abundance of linens and inclusive items that make for a seamless vacation. As always, your family pets are welcome at no extra charge. We have broken ground for the addition of a second bathroom with laundry and an updated kitchen expansion to our beloved Cottage on the Pond. At the same time we are remodeling the existing bathroom to offer our guests more comfort and convenience, but without giving up the charm of the old twenties style cottage. The porch will still have great views to the ocean and the backyard overlooking the mill pond will still be the gathering place for family and friends around the fire pit. We expect the construction to be completed by the holidays and ready for spring occupancy by April 15, 2020. As always, the high season of July and August we will still offer a minimum of a two-week stay or better. We are currently taking reservations for 2020 for all three cottages – recharge your soul, rest, relax and rejuvenate. Our family has owned and operated these wonderful cottages for many years, welcoming the same families and many new folks from all corners of the United States and far flung countries. Whether you are traveling solo or with a family unit seeking a retreat close to all of the Rockport amenities, our cottages offer charm, caring “on hands” family owners and extra touches to enhance your Rockport experience. Some of our favorite moments here are sipping coffee while watching the sunrise from the privacy of our screened-in porch, afternoons grilling outside in the backyard as the sun sets through the old oak trees, and cool rainy days by a cozy fire. With three bedrooms that sleep up to six people, the Cottage on the Pond is the perfect family destination.
