The pet fee is $30/night per dog, with a maximum of $150. Dogs are welcome as long as they are loved and crated when left alone. They love all dogs and do not have any weight or breed restrictions. They typically allow one dog, but in some circumstances are willing to consider your pet needs. Due to the unique interior of our home, we do have rules that must be followed including our crate requirement and minimum 1 year age limit. Also, dogs are not allowed upstairs where the bedrooms are located (they provide an Orvis dog gate), and dogs are not allowed on furniture.

About This Property
Nantahala River Lodge is a pet friendly riverfront cabin located on 1400 feet of the upper Nantahala River. We love dogs and enjoy having good dogs and their families as guests. They are located in the Nantahala Gorge, not far from Bryson City, Cherokee, Joyce Kilmer & the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. They custom designed and built their Nantahala River Lodge with reclaimed wood and stone from their family’s North Carolina cabins and barn. They furnished their home with handcrafted furniture and transformed family heirlooms into art. Every detail was carefully considered as they blended their family history into the creation of the Nantahala River Lodge. Their Dogs helped every step of the way! The Nantahala River Lodge offers accommodations for up to 8 people. There is a King bedroom, a Queen bedroom and a Bunkroom with 2 sets of large handmade log bunk beds. Dogs love to run and play on the property and especially enjoy swimming and wading in the Nantahala River, and playing in the snow. The Nantahala River Lodge has easy year-round access.Pet Amenities
Pet amenities include easy river access, relaxing by the campfire, marking lots of territory & sniffing about. The 2-mile Nantahala River Walking/Biking Trail and the Bartram Trail are within walking distance and provide great opportunities for dogs and their people to further explore the area. We have gates to keep your pet contained on the deck so the Dog’s people can relax. We also provide Pet Placemats, Pet Towels and Dog Biscuits.
