Wake Forest, NC -- September 9, 2021: TripsWithPets.com, the premier online pet travel site, is hosting its 5th Annual Barktoberfest. This event will take place on October 17, 2021 at Compass Rose Brewery in Raleigh, NC.
Barktoberfest 2021 will raise much-needed funds for K9s For Warriors and Freedom Ride Rescue - 501(c)(3) organizations.
K9s For Warriors is the nation's largest provider of service dogs for disabled American veterans. They save military warriors and rescue dogs. Roughly 90% of the dogs in their program are rescue/shelter dogs.
Freedom Ride Rescue brings together volunteers who share a love for animals and a dream to see a no-kill state. They rescue dogs from overburdened county shelters and provide “Freedom Rides” to loving foster homes until they are adopted.
Raffle to win pet-friendly trips, dog Halloween costume contest, adoptable dogs, vendors, doggie goody bags, and a food truck are among the event highlights.
“Our mission is to help ensure pets are welcome, happy, and safe in their travels. However, our passion for pets extends well beyond that,” said Kim Salerno, CEO and Founder of TripsWithPets.com. “Our events are geared to not only raise much-needed funds for these charities, but to also create greater awareness and involvement in animal welfare.”
