The Prairie Center

The Prairie Center is dedicated to the preservation and reestablishment of local Kansas flora and fauna, and to educate the public about the importance of their natural surroundings. Dogs are allowed at the Center, and there is plenty for you both to do. The Center spans 300 acres, and features a lake, 8 ponds, 8-foot tall native grasses, and inviting trails through scenic natural settings. Your pet must be leashed and under your control throughout your visit. The only exception is swimming: if your dog is under strong voice control, he may go off leash to get into the water but he must be immediately re-leashed when he's done with his swim.
