I would say that the resort is nice, but I do not think it is 5 star. I felt like the finishes were a bit dated (trim was beat up in the rooms, could use new carpet and paint in the hallways and common areas) I will say the lobby area and outside coffee spot was lovely and comfortable. I did not realize when I booked that it is resort that caters to younger kids---which is great, but I don't have little kids so some of the glow party things, and those type of things I was not expecting. I did ask to be moved rooms when we arrived, because our initial room looked out on the little kid pool that played music all the time. Our 2nd room was overlooking the golf course which was nice, but I had to pay $30 more a night to be moved.
Negatives:
One thing I didn't like was the constant music being played. I was trying to find a quiet place to read, and it was a challenge. There seemed to be music in the lobby, outside areas and pool most times of day. I don't know if this was part of the summer celebration for the younger kids, but it was hard to find a spot of quiet in the common spaces.
