Positives:
Breakfast was standard fair for free breakfast. Room and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was OK as was the shower. Multiple towel sets which was nice.
Negatives:
Facility is old and needs to be updated. Age and deterioration shows on doors, tiles, carpet, etc. WIFI didn't work. Password given on registering and when it didn't work, I called the front desk who told me I'd have to call their IT support and that I should come down to the front desk to get the phone number. As it was late in the evening and I really didn't need it, I didn't bother getting the number. But given this level of poor service, doubtful we'll stay there again.

Had specifically requested a ground floor room near an exit. That was not the room I was given. Staff changed it so at least I got a ground floor room.

If you are going to visit the Atchafalaya Swamp and Henderson Swamp this is the place to stay. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly. Holiday Inn quality. Breakfast is complimentary and nothing super special. Beds are good. Bathrooms clean. It is quite. I can recommend this place if you are in the area and need a bed to sleep.
Negatives:
I had difficulties finding the right way to the hotels parking lot and made an extra round on the highway missing it. You got to enter the nearby gasstation and from there you reach the hotel parking lot. Adding 1 or 2 signs or arrows would be helpful. Especially as there is a huge Holiday Inn sign in front of the hotel which could mislead you. Going the wrong way there you end up entering the highway again.

Breakfast was simply awful - substandard in every way.
The toaster burned the bread - each time, and they knew about it.
Furthermore the bread was not fresh - at least a day old.
Come on, Holiday Inn - you can do better than that.

The treadmill sucked. Only 6 mph. Too much light, can't sleep well. The shower setup is ridiculous.
