This La Quinta was many steps above the others weve stayed at, granted it was newer, - but the rooms were clean - looked clean, felt clean, and smelled clean! We asked for a 30min delay for checkout and the front desk readily agreed.
Negatives:
The only problem and why I only gave 9 stars was we were put I to a handicap room with a doorbell that set off lights and sirens. Also - for seating we were given a single wedge piece of a sectional - it was too deep for comfort & odd for it had no arms.

Breakfast was good. Location was great.

The pool was cold water. I stay there for the pool and was not able to use it. The elevator wouldn't move.

The hotel met our expectations, and Cypress is a nice safe neighbourhood to stay in. The parking lot was spaceous and the hotel was easy to find. The rooms were nice and clean and had the amenities expected. It had a lot of restaurants close by that you could walk to, and a Bucees almost next door, so everything is available when that snack-craving time comes around.
Negatives:
I wish our room had had a bath tub and the TV channels were a bit lackluster but these small nitpicky things really should tell you the hotel was quite nice.

The room temperature was fine till two hours before checking out. The a/c cut off and the room temp was very hot. Also a man opened the door said he was front desk and asked if we needed anything. Not to comfortable with that.
