From what I saw this was way more value for the money compared to the Tel Star Motel, which was only about $13 less. The room was pleasant, the bed was for the most part comfortable, and the staff friendly.
Negatives:
Almost immediately after arriving the toilet clogged, likely from a previous tenant. This is a real conversation I had when I called front desk.
Me: Hello, can you bring a plunger to room 122?
Them: Oh, is everything okay?
Me: (laughs) well, no, that's why I need a plunger.
Them: What seems to be the problem?
Me: (long pause of disbelief) The. Toilet. Is. Clogged.
This was also the first place I have ever stayed in that didn't have a coffee maker in the room. There was a lack of desk space for me to work, and all of the plugs were covered and hidden, leaving me with a single sketchy outlet on a desk lamp to charge everything.
