I recently stayed at here for three nights, and while the location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, I was left with mixed feelings about the experience. The hotel has a modern and clean design, and the rooms are comfortable, but for a property that bills itself as a five-star establishment, it falls short in some key areas.
The central location is definitely one of its best features. It’s close to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shopping, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room itself was very clean, sleek, and well-maintained, which I appreciated.
Negatives:
The service did not live up to five-star expectations, and that is where the hotel disappointed me the most.
I had a particularly regrettable experience with the valet service. On one of the days, the hotel was hosting a private event, and the front entrance was quite busy. I parked my car in front of the hotel for about 90 seconds while waiting for my wife, as we were hotel guests. The valet, however, rudely shouted at me to move the car, despite my explaining that I was staying at the hotel. He made no effort to offer assistance in finding parking or propose parking the car himself, which should have been expected at a five-star property. Frankly, as a guest, it shouldn’t be my concern if there’s a private event happening, the service to hotel guests should remain unaffected. This experience made it clear that the hotel lacks the polished, attentive service you'd find at top-tier luxury chains.
While the rooms and location were great, the service is where Hotel Paradox needs serious improvement if it wants to live up to its five-star branding. The unfortunate valet incident left a lasting impression that marred what could have been a much more enjoyable stay.
