Hearthstone Inn Sydney

Negatives: The cleanliness of the hotel was well below standard. The floors in our room looked as if they had barely been swept, there were crumbs and dirt around the edges of the bed, in the corners and behind the chair. There were stains on the towels. The pool deck looked as if it gets cleaned once a month. There definitely was no cleaner throughout the time we were there as there was a dirty diaper on the pool deck the entire day Saturday. The staff were not helpful when I asked for an extra sheet upon arrival. I was told that housekeeping was done for the day so they couldnt get me an extra sheet. The hallways smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The room was set up really poorly with the fridge and coffee station being directly outside of the bathroom door. There was no separate light for the bathroom, just the light that turned both the hallway and bathroom light on. The lock on the bathroom door was drilled out and there was no way to lock it. The window sill was covered in lady bugs both dead and alive, we cleaned up 10+ upon arrival.
