Cleaning staff left the door open to our room and we discovered it only 11 pm as we were away. Luckily nothing got stolen.
Kitchen and balcony are useless. For the balcony, the staff does not give chairs to safe water?!?! And the kitchen has hardly anything you can use e.g you can't boil an egg no pans, you can't dry a plate because they are no towels.

All in all the stay...
Positives:
Location perfect for our stay. Kitchenette very useful with adequate supplies. Much of the past elegance of the building has been retained.
Negatives:
The bed was not very comfortable. Mattress a bit lumpy. Pillows stuffed into small pillow cases making them quite hard and uncomfortable. Had to remove the pillow cases to make them usable. Seems like most hotels are doing the same thing. Have stayed here a few times and have noticed that numerous maintenance items are not attended to.
