Unfortunately, there was a big snowstorm on March 25 and 26, which did not allow us to travel by car from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay. The manager at the hotel decided NOT to refund us any money for this natural danger that occurred. We will definitely seek other accommodations the next time we travel to Thunder Bay.
Negatives:
We expected a full refund due to the treacherous driving conditions which resulted from the bad weather! The manager, however, chose NOT to do the right thing and honour our request. She indicated it would be difficult to do so, since we had booked through a third party; i.e. booking.com. Difficult or not, we are entitled to a refund under such adverse and dangerous circumstances. We are still hopeful for a fair and reasonable settlement in this situation!
