Negatives: I don’t like that the AC cannot be adjusted. . The water in the shower area is dripping thus water is all over the floor. Just a decent stay. If you just want a place to stay and not too fancy, this is a good place

Negatives: "Hygie Hotel is your oasis of tranquility in the heart of the action".  From their website. Location was good but that's where it ends! Oasis No. From the moment we arrived it was unclear how to enter the building.  Once we worked it out, we were then left waiting a good 10 minutes before someone came to open the door and let us in and lead us to the basement, many stairs and no lift. Initial staff member was helpful to a point. There were no towels or soaps provided., he arranged them for us. Repeated trying to make contact after that, failed. Bed linen was not clean. You can certainly tell the difference when a clean pillowcase, sheet and doona cover are on the bed. This was definitely not the case. The pillow case was stained and a scarf was used over it before I would rest my head on it. The floor had not been swept, had pubic hairs on it. On seeing the housekeeping staff the next morning we asked for our room to be made up and cleaned. When we got back to our room our bed was made with the same linen and the bathroom towels and  hand towels that were provided the day before, had all been taken and not replaced. Leaving us with one towel and a floor mat. No teaspoons or milk and only paper cups and plastic cups had been replaced. Surely it is more economical and sustainable to use proper ceramic cups. We rang the number on Bookings.com to contact the hotel and finally got through to a woman who said that she would organise for new towels to be sent to us. These never turned up. We also advised her that we would be leaving early. She said she would have someone call us. We did not hear from anyone. As for Tranquility NO. Our room was in the basement of the building. Windows were street footpath level, with flimsy, dusty black curtains such that people could see in from street level right into us taking a shower or being in bed - we had to use my wife's walking stick in order to close the curtains for some privacy.

Negatives: Not a hotel, its a hostel. all the rooms are in the basement, staff was SO rude. we only had the same three towels for THREE nights. coachroaches in the bathroom. broken drawers. filthy, literally not vacuumed in months judging by under the bed. Absolutely appalled as we paid over 300 dollars per night.

Negatives: Horrible service!! Got locked out as we were given an incorrect code no one came to help us for over an hour. Our rooms a/c was not working it got up to 29 degrees to the point where we did not get any sleep we called several times and again no one came to assist us or called us back. Worst stay I have ever experienced

Negatives: All the rooms are in the basement. Very shady. There is no front desk, just a buzzer and intercom. The room smelled like a basement, musty. There is no door to the bathroom, no privacy. The shower was held together with a shoelace. I say again, the shower was held together with a shoelace. Brutal. I asked for more towels before I arrived, and we only had one on the room. I had to ask for more. Also No toiletries. Don't stay here unless you don't mind feeling gross. Very uncomfortable.

Negatives: Website is incorrect. All rooms are in the basement. No front staff no where to stop and unload your luggage. Got a $90 ticket while we checked I

Negatives: No parking. No unloading zone. Got a $91 ticket within 10 minutes of arrival while I was taking my luggage off of the street. The room is below grade and has curtains perpetually drawn to get any sort of privacy. The corridors and room are poorly lit with dark coloured walls. There is no door on the bathroom!! There is no one at the reception. In fact, there is no proper reception area. Just try to get hold of someone for towels or anything!! Good luck!

Negatives: Very disappointed that it was a basement room. Had I know that at the time of the booking, I would not have booked it

Negatives: The description "boutique hotel" is deceptive. The accommodation was VERY basic ... No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or clothes, no water glasses in the bathroom - not even plastic disposable ones, the shower was dirty and the shower head was being held on the wall with clear packing tape. The walls and doors are paper thin so we could hear every noise. The room security is very strange. The staff person who greeted us gave us a code for our room door that he knew! That's unacceptable! Each time there is a new guest, the room code should be issued without the staff knowing what the code is. Very sketchy!
