Positives:
Location was central and handy to get around the old town. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very generous, tasty and filling. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
Negatives:
My room was on the road side and it was noisy. There were no light switches beside the bed so you had to get up to turn off the lamps.

Our room was lovely--spacious and comfortable.
Negatives:
We couldn't get into our rooms until 4:30 or so, we think because they were trying to give us two rooms on the same floor--we wish we had been given an alternative rather than sitting around waiting for the rooms to be ready--and this was in the middle of the week.
Also, the breakfast, which we paid for, was not good--it took too long to get it and some of the dishes were not hot. Clearly they have a staffing issue in the morning.
And, the lovely bar and patio, even in the height of the summer when we were there, was only open Thurs-Sun, which was a big disappointment. We might have booked for different nights had we known this.

We had a big room on the courtyard side. Excellent location in Old Montreal. Room had good amenities - huge bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom with extra beds in LR (murphy bed). Very quiet given it's location. Friendly staff.
Negatives:
The internet connection was atrocious - basically didn't work. The room had been "updated" but mostly cosmetically - not a big deal, but kind of mediocre. There was a lot of construction going on - not the hotel's fault at all, but made road access to the lobby difficult and unclear.

Positives:
The location is perfect for a tourist in Montreal. It is next to the Basilica. The room was large and even had a kitchenette. The men who valet parked the car and helped with the bags were super helpful.
Negatives:
The food at breakfast was very good but the waits were excessive. It is not a buffet, you order off the menu. We waited 30 and 45 minutes the first two days. On the third day we went at 7:00 a.m. and waited only 10 minutes.
