Positives: Comfortable bed and very spacious room also the free breakfast was very good and plenty of food.
Negatives: Our room had ants but we bought some ant spray and killed them. The front desk clerk offered to move us to another room but I had just came back from having surgery and didn’t want the hassle of moving our stuff.

Positives: The location is pretty cool. Even though its next to the movie theater, nail salons, and shops, the hotel is still quiet.
Negatives: everything other than the location! Very unprofessional and nasty facility. Sheets and rags were stained and damp feeling (like they hadnt been washed). Someones hair was all around the toilet. The pool was foggy and nasty. You couldnt see through the water (very white/cloudy). Breakfast starts late at 7 (other locations start at 6) and the food still wasnt ready (runny oatmeal, no proteins (until abt 715), etc. Room service barged in 2 hours before check out and told me they do that when people dont contact the office. Checkouts at 12 and she came in at 9a. She knocked and opened the door at the same time. I had to stop her from coming in as I wasnt dressed. I was never and have never been told I was supposed to talk to the office before check out; especially when check out is at 11 and I just got there the night before for a 1 night stay? Its unethical and I dont know what she was trying to do during breakfast time when most people leave their belongings to go eat. Rm srvc (other than the nice guy/janitor) was very rude and the front desk receptionists barely greet you when you first walk in and the morning person was nice nasty when i turned in my keys (before check out). They have condescending tones. The location in Bessemer was superb and i recommend going there instead (i was staycationing 2 wknds in a row and went there week 1 to try em out but they were full wknd 2). Same price for a muchhhhh better experience. Since I am a reviewer, I like to experience everything to see what they do without complaints. Very disappointing.

Positives: The breakfast was good!
Negatives: In the middle of the night, due to some sort of electrical issue with the alarm system (and not any actual danger of fire or accidental alarm pull), the alarm system went off. We ended up outside for a long time and then I was unable to sleep afterwards. It was quite shocking and then there was not even an apology or offer to provide any compensation for it, even though it was the fault of their system malfunctioning. We were exausted after a long day of conference meetings and then weary the next day for our meetings due to the lack of sleep.

Positives: Staff were great
Negatives: Fire alarm went off at 1:30am the first night due to a fault in the system (according to employee on site). Spent 30 minutes in parking lot waiting for it to be shut off. Children (under age of 6) found it exciting, but no one was rested for the final day in Birmingham.

Positives: the location was fine, the breakfast was hot and fully stocked, fruit was fresh. great staff service during check-in at night and check-out in the morning! The parking lot of the hotel was well lit at night.
Negatives: The bathrooms in the lobby weren't cleaned in the morning, but the staff was present to clean them. The juice machine wasn't in service during breakfast, there weren't tubs in the rooms we stayed in. It was hard to get to the hotel at night from I-20 because of the winding backroads.
